i jus droped a sy eng in my s10 and i think i hooked up the wiring wrong..can any 1 tell me which wires are vital to make the moter run i dont car about anything else at this point,,i want to here it burn some gas be for i throw it in the trash

do you have any pictures of the wires you have connected?
when you dropped in the motor, what ecm and wiring harness did you use?

i used a typoon harness..i can get pics..i other thing where does a stock syty crank position loc on the harness and crank and what color are the wires

excuss me i am working on the truck right now.i would like to know the location and colors of the wires used in the crank position sensor..the location on the block and where on the harness in conects to it might have been cut off.i tell u why.. i thought i hooked up all the vital sensors but some jerry rigin had to be done..the engine is sluggish when turning over i check the coil its ok but no spark is gettin to the plugs..

there is no crank sensor.
thats an LS1 thing.
sounds to me like you need a sy/ty service manual.
actually just get the cd rom, its about $1,000,000 cheaper than the book.
