Yellow "Cyclone"

While at work a fellow owner leaves a message about a yellow sy for sale at a hole in the wall dealership. I did what any self respecting owner would do and got out of work at midnight and went to the dealership. Unfortunatly the gate was locked.....so I decided to jump it. I was tiped off before I even go to the truck. The license plate said "Y Tryy" and the frame said "GMC Cyclone" Upon further inspection I saw that it had performance dual exhaust with 2" pipes going into 3" tips;) It had 17" rims which where nice and was lowered. It had been painted yellow which looked ok but could use a little detailing. The interior was clean with Recaro seats but a regular mid 80's s10 steering wheel. The window sticker read

"1991 GMC Cyclone
Grand national V6 turbo race engine
GM race transmission
1 of 1900 produced
No test drives
No start ups
Just bring Cash"

I was laughing to say the least.

Tomorrow I am going to drive the Ty up there inform him a little, get the vin, and find out how much he is asking.

checked it out today and I just stoped laughing. Upon closer inspection I saw that only the windows and fog light lenses were masked when it was painted, the radiator is yellow, the wheel wells are yellow, even the lower cche is yellow. He painted it because "he has other cars that are black" The lines on the body dont line up, the drivers side door dosnt close all the way, the truck has 1997 gmc sonoma side mirrors, it has a 2" cat-back exhaust with dual 3" tips, the engien was covered in clearcoat and the Plate frame said "Cyclone" The interior is also funny with Pep Boys "Tweety the Bird" floormats, a 80's s10 sterring wheel, no syclone badge, no shift nob (only the spring lever) no gear indicator (how the hell do you lose that little orange stipe in the console?)the latch on the console lid was gone??? 17"x8" rims.Although it did have some real nice Recaro seats..go figure. It had no headliner just plastic, windows didnt work Power locks didnt work...and I qoute from the dealership owner "This thing has power locks?"

Grand total..........$15,000.."but im flexible"

Its so funny how a "used car dealer" can see a POS as a Pristine Car!!!

While I was there a guy came to look at it and I basically gave him my phone # and said call me if he is serious because for $15,000 I could get hime a almost perfect low mileage sy and he left. The sad part is there is some unsuspecting person out there that will buy this trucka dn have only bad things to say.

Sounds like the only thing missing is the Yosimite Sam "Back off!!" mud flaps and chrome footprint gas pedal.

lol yeah you should take a few pics. this will be a long lasting joke. I hope no one and mean no one is unfortunate enough to buy that for 15,000. Maybe 1500....Maybe
