Well this last weekend the whole family was at the MotorPlex here in Texas. We had an 02 M3, and a 99 M3 w/ a dinan supercharger, and a TNT 650 viper. The little syclone didnt make it, it wasnt big enough to haul all the junk we take. There were 4 Z0-6's there I watched 2 run. I went up and looked at one, and the guy had an exhaust and a bottle. I thought wow we'll have a low 11's street car here for sure. I know the person he was running so I knew Id get to see the ticket. Well the little ZO6 staged and ran a 12.2 @ 118 on the bottle with a 1.92 60 foot. I saw the stock ones post mid 12's. Yeah this is a respectable time, ran on a track that was so sticky it would damn near pull your shoes off. There is NO REASON to be freaked out about running one in a sy that has any sort of minor mods or even stock for that matter. I really doubt one could pull a 13.0 on your average street on any given day. The Viper ran a 11.54 @ 123 (my brothers car) and he won't dare run me off a red light in the thing (see prev post on Dont race a Viper) also. Yeah there are some bad cars and some one is always faster, But dont forget what your driving: performance, anytime, anywhere, any weather.

ET's
99 Viper TNT 650 11.54@123 no bottle
Romped many ah camaro & 1 Z06 haha almost got its ass handed to it by a lightly moded GN runnning 11.6's kneel to the oh mighty american made turbo 6!

02 M3 13.9@99 broke a half shaft POS!
Got ass rapped by everyone

99 M3 SC 14.0@98 very disapointed
not even fun to watch

***side note I saw a new Z71 pickup beat a little bumble bee sounding civic. Hey its Texas what can I say!!!!*******

I have been to KCIR and seen 2 01 Z06s run. Both ran high 12s in the KC heat. I was kind of dissappointed since I have an 02. I don't race my cars so I just like to see what others can do in theirs. I have seen my buddy run his Viper GTS at the same track in the same heat and he can pull 12.0s. BOth of the above cars on street tires and blazing them to the 60 foot mark easily. Trap speeds for the Z were near 113, and for the viper at 120. I have never raced my Viper either. Maybe some day I will get the courage to race without insurance. hahaha

I agree with you completely. The Syclone is the ideal street racing vehicle. It takes a lot of the driver variability out of the equation. I would rather compare my Syclone to the lightnings and Dakota R/Ts and not the Vipers and Corvette Z06s.

Well what you have to do if you have mishap is have your local "C note" friendly tow driver take it about 10 miles from the track and then call your insurance co.

I honestly have never done this but I have seen it done.............. a few times

Norman owns his own insurance business, so lying to himself won't be new. Heck he does it everytime he gets into the Viper and cranks the soundtrack to "Boogie Nights". HAhahaha!!! Right Normy  ??

Hey, nothing wrong with some Bee Gees while you are crusing around town. hahhahahaa

Lieing to myself is just something that I have to do. Daron, you are a trouble maker. ahhaha
