Now for the bad news, the motor has developed a clacking noise, maybe as simple as a lifter or maybe more involved, I don't have the time or money to diagnose and fix. I am the second owner and have had the truck since August 1996. Ran 1.5960 foot, 12.20 1/4 mile ET and 0-60 mph in 3.2. Good drag, autocross and show vehicle

$6,000 obo

Truck is in Pewaukee WI, west suburbs of Milwaukee.
Thanks,
Dan

Damn someone is gonna end up with a hell of a deal. Even if you rebuild the engine on the expensive side someone could have a badass ride for under $10k.

yeah, ya'll had to figure out my video posting was of this one...

LOL

I talked with the owner and he seems to be a nice guy. I have seriously been considering this truck bu I'm starting to think it might be slightly too modified for what I intend to do, which is mostly daily drive the thing. Downside, it sounds like a lot of the money spent on the truck went into the motor, if it is a rod going bad half those nice parts might need to be tossed.

Oh yeah, and the owner said there was very little rust, mostly surface rust on the axle's and whatnot and that the body was clean except for one spot on the C-pillar. It sounded like the truck spent most of its life in North Dakota and they don't use Salt up there like the other northern states do.

Re: 93 Ty for sale $6,000 obo

The truck lived in North Dakota from 1996 to 1999 and then in WI after that. It saw winter in 96 and 97 with sand instead of salt and has been a sunny weather driver since that, its done everything from drag strip to autocross to hauling the kids for ice cream and Sunday car shows. Mostly its been sitting unused in the garage and I was thinking about selling it last year, so of course it had to start making noise after I decided to keep it one more season!

Well my loss is your gain I guess, I am open to any reasonable offers.

D.Wolkomir provided pictures and it is a very nice clean Ty.

Good luck with the sale.

Interested in this typhoon. Might be the best buy since I was thinking about an LSx conversion and if the bottom end needs to be rebuilt, then it's the best time to swap to the V8.

Re: 93 Ty for sale $6,000 obo

I have a Sleeved LS2 with a 52mm Harrop that I was thinking about putting into the camaro but I think it'll be more fun in a Typhoon. 457" N/A build.

Will still keep the original drivetrain and have it rebuilt at some point so I can go back to stock.
