Another ARP Head Bolt Retorque Question

Let's say the ARP bolts on my Vortec heads have RTV sealant applied to their threads and then torqued down to 75 ft-lb. If I want to retorque the bolts, can I just back each bolt out 1/2 a turn and then retorque or do I need to remove the bolt from the head and apply new RTV?

Remove, clean and reapply. If you break the threadlock then it won't reseal. Why are you tightening past 75? Stock is only 65 and I haven't seen any manufacturers advising tighter than that. If you're too tight then there is no stretch left and you could break something. My 2 pence.
