Here is a thing I picked up a while back. Its just been sitting in my room for a year or two. I thought it was a cool find at the time.

I was moving stuff around when I decided to re-handle the item. My thought process on this perticular item is Were these offered for typhoons? Does any typhoon owner have one?

Is this a syclone - exclusive document only? Does anyone have a photo of a original that I can compare against. I am just wondering if the SYCLONE font is red or black on a original document.

I have never seen a original. Thanks

I figure Since I am rummaging through paperwork, I would share some other things

This is a Banks Power poster Banks sent me. I have had it since 2004. I tried to get a job right out of high school and in return they send me a box of books, posters, info, all sorts of stuff. The poster is double sided Has a time line on it from banks since his start up in 1958. The one side with time line has a large picture of his legendary twin turbo plus many of his accomplishments over time. I Was into gale banks and his projects 10 years ago when they had a 68 camaro in the shop. At time it was a project I had honed in on and never seen the end result. You can see the actual syclone AD in his poster.. I have the ad which I thought was neat. HAHA never thought it would of mattered in 2004 the syclone stuff!!




Here is the actual pic of the engine on the poster. It was folded for mailing and I have had it tucked away off and on.

This one here is a syclone dealer brochure and I like the pic. It is a very crisp picture and would make a great framed photo. A lot of the stuff I have I just leave in the postal mailers and just store them. I have not made the choice to frame anything yet except the one I pieced together my self which is the Typhoon/Syclone/Sonoma GT I hung on my wall.

I just think there cool. Front and back. Syclone one reads 1992. Makes me laugh. Not sure whos error it was



I have been looking for a poster of the typhoon with the locomotive in the back. If anyone has that perticular poster and wants to part, Give me a shout. Thanks

Just found this. Opened it up first pic was a syclone Figure I would share. Old to the world , new to some.


Info page is cool. I noticed the syclone photo is the same truck used on the more "colorful" individual spec sheets I have.

1992 steering wheel? Looks like 1992 syclone also had the window switch for the rear glass to lower or maby its just a 1992 typhoon?

Damn a rear sliding window was going to come on the 1992? That's the first I ever heard of that....

Pretty sure the RED Marlboro syclone's are equipped with them.

I am just going by what I see on the lower picture of the interior/cluster with the 1992 steering wheel. I see 2 extra control buttons on the left, and a small dial on the right oppisite the fog switch.

Was there ever a case where 1991 steering wheels were offered in 1992?

Yes the Marlboros did have sliding rear window. I just never knew 1992 Sy was going to have it. It probably would have ended up breaking like most things on these vehicles. :rotf:

The 1992 Syclone brochures are legit, I got one from Marty some years back. Options and more color offerings were slated for 92, but then the plug was pulled.

If you zoom in on the dash pic, one of the switches on the left says wiper, and the round switch under the HVAC is for power mirrors. My guess would be that the picture shows a typhoon, not a syclone

92 Syclones were going to get the power mirrors too. See pic above dash pic.

I'm with you, I think we are right.

I was waiting for the 92' Sys to come out,but they never got 500 orders,so in April they cancelled the 92'
The 92' Sys were going to have Ty mirrors,steering wheels and carpet floor mats with red " SYCLONE "
The floor mats are the ones I sell.

You should post up a list of items that you have available for sale. All I ever see is p.m. sent. Sometimes I don't know what you are replying to. Not being a smartass. But maybe in your little shop of parts you can increase some sales.:)

Picked up a GMC land speed record poster. Will go good with my large BANKS poster, as well as all the info I have (magazine article. Also the poster is a part if the " indy car series" which matches my larger than life Typhoon poster

Only hunting for 2 more posters.

Version 1 of the LSR syclone- Same truck - prior year, different salt spatter paint.

I have a COA for the Typhoon I used to own (#1724) Someone was making them up as well as t-shirts. For some reason they could only print the Typhoons in white.

Been hunting still. Found one of the harder ones to come across. Will go great with the Syclone LSR poster.

This Super Coupe thing is the Syclone LSR Just re-painted and a little different setup chassis.

All I really need now is a Authentic Version 1 of the Syclone LSR ( more black/red)

Figured I would share my latest find. It got a little Fugged up during shipping but what can you do?

I have all of my orginal paperwork and that's a syclone specific. It came with the letter saying you have purchased a limited edition vehicle and it's also come with the certificate of authenticity that's states the Vin #
