Any interest in trading?

I may be interested in trading for a Ty that's in very good condition plus cash. I am in need of some money, but would still like to have something fun to drive. I'm just throwing this out there as I know Lightning and Sy/Ty owners have a bit of mutual respect for each other, if they are true car enthusiasts.

These two statements: "I want a Ty" and "I am in need of some money" do NOT go hand in hand. SyTys can be expensive to maintain and have the potential to break...and that's before you start upgrading! ;)

Nice house and nice truck, btw. Ford or not, I think Lightnings are badaxx looking.

Re: Any interest in trading?

I live and work downtown. My parents live over in Missouri City (Sienna), which is where the pics were taken. I don't make that much money yet!!

I'm asking $22k for the truck, but will listen to offers. The truck has 69k on it, with about 29k on the motor. At this price, it would have been gone in 2 weeks tops about a year ago. Everybody's all freaked out over the economy right now though. There's another one in Houston w/ a built motor (more expensive motor), also a 2001, and the guy wants $27k for his.

These aren't the most desireable trucks on the market right now. Come to Nashville, TN and you can get Lightnings anywhere from $10-13,500 and SRT/10's in the $15,000 range. Problem is they still aren't selling and I would presume it is mainly because Super Unleaded is nearing $4.50 a gallon and expected to climb near $6 a gallon by this time next year. All the best selling yours for $22,000. While it is a nice looking truck, it isn't fuel friendly :).

I agree completely. I am quite aware that it will take the right buyer, who is probably looking for something for weekend or track-use only. There is someone out there that is either not scared of fuel prices or it just isn't affecting them as much.

Good luck on with the truck. I will never buy a brand new car/truck again, I'm having a hard time selling my 06 Cobalt SS supercharged. Lots of money into it to. ;(
