Hey there,

I will be in SoCal at the beginning of sept and in need of a new hood for my 92 Ty that I am picking up tomorrow. Is this hood paintable, or is it factory Red fiberglass? I would be needing to paint it black...

Yes you can paint it any color you choose. Let me know if you are interested, as another member is also interested.

The hood is in storage and no longer on the Ty. Here is the only pic I have from the right side when it was still on the truck.

Shipping and handling is not worth it to me. Since it is fiberglass, there is too much of a risk for cracking or breaking with the way they handle packages. Sorry.
