Front Tires Being Eaten - Beltech Drop Leafs

I have Beltech drop leafs installed and in order to get the ride height right I needed to crank the front torsion rods down.

The front tires are now being eaten and I am out of camber adjustment.

I do not want to spend $2000 on a tubular control arm set or coilovers. What other options do I have?

Are the stock Typhoon rear springs the same as a Chevrolet or GMC Jimmy of the same era? As a last resort I can lift the rear back up and readjust my front torsion rods.

Be as specific as possible and leave links so I can buy whatever it is you are recommending.

The biggest tire wearing angle is toe...Camber will only be on the inner or outer edges, depending on the +/-. Get into thrust angles and it begins to get a little hairy, as a push and a pull can cancel each other out, yet still cause tire wear....

Only the inside of my front tires are being eaten.

I am at the limits of camber adjustment. The tires are still getting eaten.

Disclaimer: I am not an alignment tech and do not pretend to be one (I take my truck to an alignment specialty shop).

Moog sells the Cam Bolts that are suppose to have more adjustment (they go on either side of the upper "A" arm). Moog #K6367 I installed these on my truck and took it to the alignment shop to be tweeked on their equipment. My truck is lowered and I too cranked down the torsions and he was able to get it to the specs. (modified Brad's specs: http://www.sportmachines.com/maintenance/alignment.php )


Look on www.sytyauthority.net>Part #'s >Suspension >General Cam Bolt Kit: Upr contrl arms Moog #K6367. You need 2 boxes one for each side.

It is worth a shot.

Same cam bolt kit I use and my front end has been low low like almost rubbing the cladding low.
I raised it back up b/c I didnt want to tear the cladding up but it tracked straight and the only problems I had getting an alignment were the dustan tie rods literally ran out of adjustment before we had the toe right.
I had to take them out and grind 1/16" or so off each end to shorten them up a tad.

I pay the hourly shop rate to get a custom alignment though and I don't tend to go to the tire shops type place.
The guy that did my last alignment has an all original GT500KR shelby and another one for "parts" wtf?
