with my fuel pressure set at 42-43 with the line detached. what does your guy's read when the line is reattached? mine is at like 39? does that sound right?

If you have 20" vacuum at idle you should have 32-33psi of FP. So you have either 6-8" of vacuum at idle or your FP regulator isn't working. If I had to guess you have a vacuum issue...

i don't really understand what you said. if i have 20" of vacuum at idle i should have 32-33 psi of fp.


with my vacuum line detached i set the fp at 43, when i reattach the line. it goes to 38-39 i'm also running the twin intank pumps

so is it normal for it to drop only 3-4 psi? or should it be more? why are you acting like such a dick? lets "dumb" it down for you. some of us don't know as much as you .. thats why i'm asking a question

Since vacuum is the absence of pressure, 2"hg is equal to the loss of 1lb of pressure.
If you're idling with 18"hg, when you hook up your vac line to your regulator you should see a fuel pressure drop of approx 9lbs. If you're idling with 20"hg then you should see a 10lb drop. Get the idea.
First, verify how much vacuum your engine is producing at idle. Then, do the math.
You either have a vac leak or a faulty regulator.
