Talked with these guys briefly, said they make everything for Syclones, forgot to ask about Typhoons but some stuff crosses over. I didn't see the info on thier site or their PDF, but they confirmed they do make them. They even tint them.

This could shed some serious weight without sacrificing the factory look. He said you can glue in the thicker ones without even bolting them in. Factory style mounting, no straps on the front windscreen. At $1200 bucks for a complete set on a Sy, it's not cheap, but it is an option, and you can buy one at a time. They have the exact factory curves and require no "fitting".

I used optic armor for my Nova(trim to fit).....the stuff is nice! 3/16 windshield and 1/8 rear window....the windshield fit perfect in the factory rubber and trim.

Are there any down sides to this? Fading? Chipping or anything that makes them less durable than glass?

It might be Syclone/Typhoon specific glass replacements . It might not be :)

It is not specific to us, we own s-10's and blazers. :rotf: Anyways, they are prob not dot approved, but who would check?
Polycarbonate needs to be polished, just like your headlights on newer cars, but it doesn't need it all the time. Just park it in your garage and you'll prob never have a problem.

I would imagine it shaving 80#'s on a Sy, and 150 on a Ty. Just not sure if they make ALL the windows for a TY. (Blazer ;) )
