Quiet muffler options?

My Typhoon has a Borla stainless catback, and it sounded fine years ago when the truck still had the stock engine. With engine and heads upgrade, the exhaust now seems to be twice as loud as before - borderline obnoxious. My option is to replace the Borla straight through muffler with another muffler that's about half as loud. Any suggestions on a quiet stainless muffler?

Get a resonator and put it behind the borla, also your borla might be "blown out" IE the packing has gone bad

I have same issue with my Sy Borla exhaust, it sound good with the stock turbo/ downpipe but it loud with the bigger turbo & 3" DP. I think it has resonance. You might be able to fit a resonator on Ty.

i run 2 magnaflows in series. I'm sure its restricting, but i have a cutout for racing. It is quieter. Also instead of making 45deg bends i ran 90s to lower the sound.

I assume you are talking about exhaust pipeing?

Running 90 degree bends will quiet it down & will cause more backpressure & cause turbo to spool slower,yes/no?

I would add a resonator in series w/what you have & see how that works out. It works good on turbo VW's

I took a look at the Borla catback on my Ty and didn't see any straight section at least 12" long to cut out and weld in a resonator. So my option is either a Magnaflow or Dynomax muffler that's larger in volume than what I have now.
