Still having issues

So I got a super duper awesome new vacuum kit. Hoping it would fix my issue.

Truck wants to die when I first start it. It revs, but then instead of slowly settling down towards idle. It was just just fall and stubles, sounding like its missing, but don't always die. If I give it some gas its fine and as soon as it warms up it never misses a beat. Just can't think of what could cause it. I was thinking vacuum leak, but everything is on tight.

Re: Still having issues

There is a big vac port on the back of the TB that must be sealed off.
If it's not,it will do exactly what you are describing.

Re: Still having issues

Well I finally figured out what the hell had been plaguing me for so long. I decided to today to tackle the gremlins that I had been neglecting for months. My friend ended up saying he heard a slight noise near the T/B so started feeling around and finally put his finger on the Idle Air Control Valve. I took the T/B off and unscrewed the sensor to find out that the screw inside the sensor (had a spring with a screw in the middle) was stripped and it shot me in the face when I took it off. So glad to finally have a truck that doesn't miss everytime I take off from a stop and idles smooth now.
