Stolen syclone and typhoon in venice!!!!

Hey guys, I haven't been on here since I sold my typhoon and it saddens me that this is what brings me back here. My friend Paul James had his 1992 typhoon and 1991 syclone stolen this morning from the Venice area of Los Angeles. He recently purchased the Syclone but the typhoon was passed down to him by his dad who was the only owner and recently passed away. It was an heirloom that he would refuse to sell so this is even harder than just a stolen truck.

I am working on getting more details and pics but I will make due with what I have at the moment. I am posting this for him as he is busy trying to get security footage from his area and talking to police.

If anyone sees anything suspicious or has any info please contact Paul james or myself, I have put our numbers below.

Contact info- Paul James (310) 924-7112

More pics can be seen here that the previous owner took, very little has changed other than the decals have been removed.

Please, please, please everyone keep an eye out and send this info along to any other forums that might help. I will be reposting this to r3v and lafixed, we are all a tight knit community and this always sucks to happen to anyone.

If these get returned there will be no questions asked and I am even offering out of my own pocket a $1,000 dollar reward leading to the return of these cars. Again, no questions asked.

Shared on FB. You have any local car forums there you are a part of?

EDIT: Also posted on S10Forums and S10Forum

Ya, I threw it on the r3v (bmw) forum in the socal section as well as lafixed, the bike forum I am a part of. I'm not really a member anywhere else. I thank you so much for sharing it on facebook.

No problem. Best of luck. When mine was stolen, I was pissed. And it wasn't an heirloom or anything.

FWIW though, 3 of the last 3 trucks I know about that have been stolen have been recovered with minimal damage so lets hope that's the case here.

Re: Stolen syclone and typhoon in venice!!!!

Sorry to hear that. Were they both actually proto trucks that were stollen?

Ugh.

I do have to chuckle that the hood is up on the Ty pic. It isn't jackstands but still true to form.

Sickens me to see threads like this.

Just to be clear, I believe you mean a '91 Sy and a '92 Ty? Any distinguishing features/mods? Stock wheels? Stickers? etc

H My friend Paul James had his 1991 typhoon and 1990 syclone stolen this morning from the Venice area of Los Angeles. .

Absolutely sucks...sorry to hear it.

For clarity, the Syclone is 1991 and the Typhoon is either 92/93. We get it here, but not sure the S10 forum will and for the purposes of keeping an eye out, it doesn't really matter that much.

Good luck. This is why I didn't often enjoy my GN while living in Los Angeles.

Get the VINS so we can post int the "Stolen Truck" section.

I can publish to Turbobuicks.com once I have those numbers.

This happened to mine in Los Angeles also. I'll keep a look out and see if we can help get them recovered! That's pretty crumby, not one but two.

Pisses me off to hear this. I'm in Brentwood so not too far from Venice. I'll keep an eye out and let some friends know.

Re: Stolen syclone and typhoon in venice!!!!

FYI to OP: Those VINS are incorrect.

The Ohs need to be zero's.

Not that it makes much of a difference, but may want to update in case someone google searches the VINs this shows up.
