What tool are you using to remove/install the bearing on either the idler pulley or the belt tensioner pulley? Brand and model number would be great. Thanks.
Dont people just replace them as an assy?
A 30 ton press will work if you have something that is just a little smaller then the OD. of your bearing to press it out. You must only press on the outer bearing race.
Ooh, that's pretty (not sure about the bearing ID though). I have a March polished aluminum idler pulley. The problem is the ID for the bearing is too big (around 17mm) for our 12mm mounting bolt.
It's around $30 to chrome plate the idler pulley if I remember correctly. It has been a while.
Need me to machine you a spacer?
30 ton would prolly flatten the entire pully. :rotf: I always forget about the bling.
That would be great Jeff. Let me get the exact ID of the bearing.Need me to machine you a spacer?
I only mention the 30ton press because that what I have. But like Dave said I have to move alot of stuff to use it because I don't have enough room.
Richard Le said:The bearing is 6203-2RS-C3.
Bore Diameter: 17 millimeters
Outside Diameter: 40 millimeters
Overall Width: 12 millimeters
We would need a 17mm OD x 12mm ID x 12mm thick spacer to make this pulley work in our application.
