Re: Torque Converter

I have one. Stock stall. ATP Rebuild. Was in my blazer for 10K miles and I took it out because the stall was wrong for the Blazer. Would be perfect in a Stock-ish SyTy. $75.00. I'm near LAX.

That is the problem I have now. I have a fresh tranny with all the bells and whistles. Tranny guy put in a higher stall unit and it is way to sloppy. I can't build more than 3 lbs off the line and it is just sluggish feeling from a dig in general. So, I wanted to go back to stock. What is the stall on yours like?

Re: Torque Converter

I'll be in the Bay early next week. If you cover shipping from 95122 I'll see if I can FedEx it to ya.

Thanks,

Jeff

Re: Torque Converter

I know the one I'm offering you is a lower stall than the 2050 I was unhappy with in my Ty. If you don't like it, buy one you like, and I'll install it, and take "mine" out for N/C. I have a hoist, and can R&R a trans in a SyTy in about 2-1/2 hours if it isn't too butchered up.

To the OP, I'd trust Dave on this, stalls vary by how miuch torque the motors has, so it will vary depending on the motor in front of it, so you can't go by the book number. I know somebody near here that has a stock Ty convertor, but they're not the cheapest or easiest thing to ship accross country, Dave's deal sound very fair.
Dave, only one lift and you own a Ty, I always though you needed two. By the way I think you were right about the vette, the guy never came up with the Vin.

Re: Torque Converter

I am not ignoring you Dave. I have been talking to a couple guys about converters. I am pretty sure I am going to take you up on your offer. I just need to wait till after the 1st to see my funds. Shipping will prob be 20-25 bucks I assume. (Don't trust my truck currently to drive it that far from home) You like pay pal or another preference? Let me know. Thanks for your time.
