Bolted up the 2 1/2" cowl and added *Turbocharged* Hood Decals!

PUMPING THAT IRON!
Yesterday i received my 2 1/2" fiberglass Harwood bolt on Show hood, and a couple of decals to put on the cowl. Its different, and i like it. I went with the fiberglass for many reasons, especially the price i paid for it. The hood has a gel coat that is gloss black, so it kinda matches my truck for right now. Its coming along, need to realign the front of the hood, but it basically bolted right up without any major problems. Next, An msd billet distributer, BOV with ss hardpipe, chrome differential covers and shocks and sway bars, and possibly tinted headlight covers. The list is simply endless, but Im full speed ahead. I have done quite a few uprades in the last month, and she's getting all my Love. Limo tinted all the windows, Red letters, painted the grill gloss black, removed air filter box & installed a cone filter, LED Lighting throughout, rear wing, silver star headlights, high intensity lower driving light bulbs, dual bladed wipers, decals, fresh synthetic oil/filter, plugs, cap and rotor, Trans maintenance, hi flow cat, flowmaster, heavy duty alternator, 600 watt mtx amp w/ matching dual voice coil 12" mtx's in a custom box w/bass control knob mounted under the dash, ..etc, etc. She is a blast to drive and I'm keeping her in check. This morning i spent some time polishing the aluminum 18's. Unfortunately, it rains so much here, its hard to keep her clean. I have raced many around the streets of Seattle, and no one has honestly even came close to beatin' me. I had a Honda try to take me out, but the race ended prematurely(cops up ahead). Damn, and i thought my v8 Vega's were fast. She's a Wild child!. These rigs are fun when they behave, but when they break! .... Bottom line, Im enjoying every minute of it. I hope i dont pick up a reckless  Thanks to this forum, i have made it happen. I sure in the hell have learned alot. New things each day. This forum has the best of the best, and i appreciate everyone's write ups. Very educational..Priceless... Well, here.. I'd like to share a few pics with you all. Have a good one, Karl

Nice truck, hood looks good, had mine about 10 yrs been a daily driver most of the time I think driving them as often as possible keeps the tiny issues away. Its still hard not to race every Joe who thinks its just a jimmy with ground effects.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm sorry I don't like this type of hood, rims and tires, and the decals. Sorry man.

Hello KDBL1, Thanks for the words. I drive this rig everywhere like you, and i have had it churning out rpms and boost, and she still runs pretty good. She has over 66k on her now, so i have driven her past 3k in about 2 1/2 months and she has never let me down, or left me stranded. Its funny, I have only had one person come up to me and tell me how rare these vehicles are. Most people dont know what to think, especially with the 2fas4u license plates. I believe they think its a modified blazer. But, when the see the added turbo emblem on the tail gate, they know it's probably a lil bit more serious than most. I get people wanting to race me all the time. Yea, if you dont do too many launches, i cant see why this truck would not be reliable. Its very solid. Its all about maintenance, and getting the feel of these suv's. At first it was strange and unknown, but now i know whats going on.. well, pretty much. Hey, gotta run. Peace, Karl :)

If the mold was properly made and prepped when the piece was laid up, you can pop out a "raw" piece that is very glossy. Have been back making some CF stuff lately and you'd be surprized on how almost glass like pieces can come out when the time is taken and the right steps are done in prep.

First of all, Thanks everybody for the warm words. Made my morning! :)

The hood probably weighs maybe half as much as the oem steel hood. Harwood has designed the hood with nice structure. You should see underneath. They hid all the bracing, and it looks nice and shiny and the cowl has actual venting. Iam happy with it. Just gotta take the time and do the adjustments is all. Thanks again Guys. Karl :)

Thanks Flyin :) Yea, it does get the looks, and when the turbo starts making that whine, and then the pshhhhhhhhhht! :D It gets even more attention. The cone filter i added made all the sound difference in the world. I cant wait to get the Bov. Yes indeed, Its one of the funnest rigs i have ever owned. When i first bought it, i kinda shook my head, and thought, Man, did i make the wrong decision here?.. The buyers remorse kicked in. How do you even change the plugs on the turbo side  What was i thinking???? But, after learning about how things work, and the tips i got from the experienced pro's on this forum,. its not so bad, or hard to work on. Its a different breed, thats for sure. And it takes a rare breed to own one. And it takes a knowledgeable individual to keep em going. I see a few that just give up on these trucks and sell em off after a month or two, but not me. The sy/ty's are ultimate!!! Think about it, an all wheel drive turbo charged vehicle thats half way decent on Gas that hauls freakin ass!!. Not too many vehicles out there that'll do 0-60 in about 5 seconds in the rain. And in Seattle, you need awd especially if your a daily street racer like me. Its pretty cool, After you get a lil boost going, the cars disappear behind you. Never owned anything like it. Its so damn fun!!. I could never go back to 2 wheel drive since i strapped up in my pride and joy.. It just wont happen. It would be like going from a cd player to an eight track. But, then again.. A Black Grand National with t-tops would look mighty fine parked next to the Ty in the Driveway. Ahhhh yes. Dreamin' Now, i need to focus on staying outta trouble. The insurance cost for me is the downfall. You should seen the look of my insurance agent after he viewed my License plates.. Not good!! :rotf: And everytime a cop pulls up behind me, 9 times out of ten They run me. Its ok.. I have all the paperwork, and finally a license!! I drive like a Grandpa!!! RIGHT!! :rotf: You only live once, enjoy yourself.. Life is too short to worry about everything. Have a great day all! Karl

Both cars were useless below 45mph but I get to drive my little brother's turbocharged mustang here and there and it's making me really miss my last mustang some ...

The filter bolts right on? How easy is it to make that work? Stock turbo? What size filter?

Am v interested!!! Can you PM or post in my project thread? (sig)

Nice looking truck, but you need to lose the turbocharged decal - needs to be more sneaky! The cowl hood is aggressive enough.

Very nice ride mate!

The closer you get the cone filter to the inlet of the stock turbo... the louder it sings

Thats what I read Flyin. But, after i removed the stock air filter box, it looked like the right place to install it. It works real well, and it still pronounces that crazy whine. Reminds me of an ol' girlfriend when she opens up! :rotf: .... Man, Im still drooling over that GN. Dude, you blew me away!! Word.
