New to the site, but looking for my old Syclone 1182

I checked the VINs on some Sys I found (formerly) registered in Sweden. #0591 #0761 #1047 #1326 #1996 #2385 #2550 #2981 #2781 seems to be in Norway currently for sale, but no trace of #1182... At least there haven't been any Sy's leaving Sweden for export or being scrapped since 01/2016.

    '92 Typhoon in Siberia

Please guys, delete those political postings ASAP. This is going nowhere... And hyperlinking a list of people all (in words: every single one of them) being dead for decades won't help emphasize any point of view...

    2 center caps needed

Might be interested. Could get get me a shipping quote to 82152 in Germany?

    Stereo system suggestions?

I opted for a Pioneer SPH-10BT as headunit along with a Single DIN adapter to fit the dash. That way I can use my mobile for music and navigation and don't have to bother about physical media. As much as I remember the stock dash cut-out is 1.5-DIN or similar. Not too many units available at...

    Shorai battery install

Thank you for you input! A PWM device would at least resolve the charging-while-driving issue. Charging in garage-only would not be a way to go for me. Call it precaution or necessity, IMHO I wouldn't want to jeopardize my car's safety just save some pounds on battery weight. To the OP, still...

Ok, so you're charging at home, not from a generator/alternator, right?

    Shorai battery install

Sorry, but I couldn't find a news article on this specific incident in English in a hurry. This one is from German finacial newspaper "Handelsblatt", sort of an equivalent to the Financial Times or the Wallstreet Journal...

    Shorai battery install

The max capacity avail seems 36 Ah. Is that really enough to fire up the engine more than an couple of times? Besides LiPos are said to be pretty crititical in terms of min charging current and max charging amperage. One way the battery won't get charged and the other way overheating might be...

Check out this neglected Geiger Typhoon

Hmm, I guess the seller gave me sh**!! I finally got a hold of another PO. He told me that it is NOT an original Geiger V8. Story goes quite differently: He bought the car from the original owner (the one I talked to yesterday) somtime back in 1993/94. The car was completely stock (well German...

    Original Parts For sale

I am interested in the crossover tube (air filter <-> turbo), center caps if sold separately from the rims and a set of fog lights. What's your asking price? Might even take both x-overs...

Check out this neglected Geiger Typhoon

The rear brakes are stock. I think the cooler you mention was/is a plain oil cooler. BTW, I got a hold of the first owner. He was working for an American company back then and saw a Ty on TV on a business trip to the states. After seeing the Geiger car at a local car show being back in Germany...

Check out this neglected Geiger Typhoon

The front wheels are protruding way too much for German regulations (max is the outer lip of the wheel arch/ cladding). No idea how those rims got an entry in the "Fahrzeugbrief"... Porsche Brakes look nice. I wonder if they'd also fit the OG wheel. Last pic is the parts stash that came with the...

And some more... No idea how they fit the airfilter that came with the parts stash on the Webers. More likely that some PO changed the Webers for a different carburettor. Exhaust is fully made of stainless steel and running as 2 pipes all the way through.
