So being that we had a rather large amount of Nats Virgins this year, some of which I spoke to at random times in the parking lot, I'd like to know what you thought of the event. Did you have expectations coming in to it? Were they met or did they come up short? Did you think it lacked anything or have suggestions for something that might make it better next time? Pros? Cons? ect.... post it up here please, thanks, and thank you all for coming. :tup:

Absolutely fantastic, more trucks than I've ever seen in my entire life and I will be coming back to the next one. Hopefully this time with a much more done and nicer truck.

Only expectations I had were to see a few more and faster trucks run, but I guess with that heat and humidity there was no chance.

Only complaint i had was that the yuengling and goldschlager kicked my ass on saturday. :rotf: No man had a blast, im hooked and will be at everyone here on out as long as there are nats. In fact even going to pick up a project ty next month. :tup: Thanks to everyone who put so much effort into this weekend, really was an awesome time. Although i wanted a cool "nats virgin" sticker. :( :lol:

I have been on the boards for almost 4 years now. I have never had a chance to make it out to NATS. I will say it exceeded my expectations. It was great to finally be able to put face to names. Will definetly make it to the next one. Will also try to make out to Homecoming aswell.

Morgan you guys all did a phenomial job. It far exceeded my expectations. It was very organized and went very smooth from a participant standpoint.

Keep up the good work, I already cant wait for the next one and was making a list in my head on the way home for what I am going to have done to the truck by then so I can stay in front of Jeff ;)

First off, we had a great time! It was great to see old friends again and put faces to other members from the board.

GREAT JOB to ALL of those who contributed to the planning and execution of NATS 11. :tup:

The only thing I would change is to make it LONGER!!!! 3 days and bam, it was over. :(

Thanks again guys for making my first NATS a GREAT expierience.

Gotta head off to work (away from computer today), but I have some comments and suggestions, some of which I'll share with organizers specifically. It was my first nats, but certainly not my first big event.

Overall, it was a good time...great hanging out with some old friends and some new ones. Impressive collection of trucks. And it was ONE LONG ASS DRIVE. :cool: (actually, TWO longassdrives)

We are...the few, the proud, the CRAZY! ;)

i was a virgin , not anymore ! i thought it was awesome.i thought for awhile it was gonna get outta control but after the diesel drags everyone acted like adults.seeing all the trucks together was great.meeting new friends and seeing old ones and putting names to faces was good.the only thing i can think of to make it better- if everyone would have removed their trucks and trailers to the overflow lot.thanks to all involved , it was a an awesome gathering of people and sytys.

I had an awesome time. It was definitely cool putting faces to names, and meeting some of the other local to me guys. A little more organization and timing of events (or more enforcement of times). As mentioned above the parking of trailers and tow trucks out of the way would have been nice. Convincing the hotel to let us mark off enough spots for all the trucks together would have been nice too. Maybe a slightly different time of year due to the HEAT.
The good far out weighs the bad, especially the convoy and gathering at the Corvette museum. It was impressive to roll in there with all the trucks and just sort of take over. The track was great (other than my one pass at 15.90 due to technical difficulties). Being able to make run after run is awesome, just wish my truck hadn't been so finicky. All in all it was a great event, I had a great time, and I will be coming to more. I am willing to help organize future events if it is needed.

Best syty meet/event ive ever been to . Smoothly ran and NO complaints from the King family at all . Deffinately worth everything we went through just to attend . I'll be happy to help out next time if need be , you guys did a fantastic job .

Only 23 months and 29 days till the next one , start planning .lol

Great job guys!! organizeing such a great event. I know how much time and work it takes to put something together like this, and try to make everyone happy. It was nice meeting people, and seeing everyones trucks. I had a great time at the track even though I had some issue's again. Its only the 5th time the truck had been down the track, so I'm not to upset.

I would suggest maybe putting the dinner after the day at the track some where a little better than Ryan's.:2cents: But I know its hard to please everyone and for sure you could please everyone there:tup:

I will sure be back next year. My guest Greg that came with me this year he's a owner of a SY, and had a great time and said he will love to have his truck there next year. His was not ready to go this year. I've been guggling finishing his truck in between doing mine. We are planing on taking his truck to the 09 HotRod drag week coming up in Sept 13-18. If anyone's going we'll se ya there.

Once again thanks to everyone in doing a great job.

I thoroughly enjoyed Nats; meeting everybody and hanging in the parking lot. The Corvette museum was also very enoyable. The only letdown was the lack of Marlboros and PPG :(

While on this topic do you guys feel BG is deserving of another nats or should it move again?

I think we are going to go for an every other year nats, with the other years being regional events for a couple reasons but I want to hear everybody's thoughts good and bad so we can make this event get bigger and better.

I do know we have a local guy named Jim that was a HUGE help behind the scenes. Most probably didn't even know it. He is a ty owner himself and did a ton of legwork for us. Even as far as calling the sherriff up before hand and telling his people to leave us alone when possible.

He arranged for Renz's truck to get fixed (turned out to be something else), brought $40 worth of ice to me at the track. He is a lifetime local that has more contacts than you can imagine. Great guy and made the event happen much smoother with his efforts. Thanks Jim for your hard work.

i hate myself for missing out, but i think it has to do alot with the region for people to have eassy acces to it. if 60 trucks showed up and if that's more than a avavage nats, than i think you got a good spot there.

BG was an awesome location. Everything was close by as far as sites, food, misc items, and the track. The track was also really nice when it came to covered bleachers and plenty of area to do some test blasts in the pits area. We had plenty of room and the hotel was very accomodating and forgiving when it came to the parking lot games and late night sessions.

If there isnt a push to move it for Nats12, Im all for doing it again in BG.
