i was joking. the paint isn't going to be the deciding factor. Make sure you are clamping it properly onto the IC. Also, the IC shouldn't move too much if you have the 3 Upper IC brackets installed properly.

It was the pipe that came out of the hose clamp. Since the intercooler is liped I dont know if its even possibe for the hose clamp to come off that.

Ditto. If you don't have all three brackets below your intercooler, that is why the hose is blowing off.

Here is what I ended up with guys. I also ordered up some t-bolt clamps. I was sick of the other clamps cutting through the hose couplers because I tighten them down so hard.

I've just noticed that your IC overflow tube and the rad overflow tube are
connected to a tee and then I guess to a tank ?
wont this allow hot coolant from the rad to possible flow into the ic ?
just thought id ask

Ahhh yes, you would be correct but I have placed a check valve in the intercooler line. You can just see it under the AC hose. Good catch :tup:
