Your freind needs to hook up his alarms ignition wire into a relay so that when the turbo timer is timing down the alarm does not see 12volts on the ignition wire. He may have to turn down his shock sensor or the trucks running vibration may trigger the alarm. I did this same mod to my 1994 Supra

If you are going to use Total Seal Rings be sure to hone the cylinder walls accordingly. With a normal hone your truck will smoke like crazy. I personally do not like Total seal rings. I have never used them on a SY/TY, but have used them on several Turbo engines.
