    Back In She Goes....

Re: Back In She Goes.... Yeah, 500 to the wheels no problem. Traction = 0 on streets. It's crazy fun though breaking loose at 50mph or launching at 7psi and never moving :rotf:

    Back In She Goes....

Re: Back In She Goes.... Thanks. Nothing like a little sleeper truck with 500hp  I bet that little Jimmy has some getup and go in it too. No real problems with the accessories. Only when I went to the PTE61 did I start to have minor fittment issues. Had to grind down the Alt bracket...

    Back In She Goes....

Re: Back In She Goes.... Thanks for the props. I went with a built TH350 this time and no AWD. Actually Jared at Current took over completing the truck. The new harness looks factory. He actually traced down several wiring problems prior to making a new harness for me. I have nothing but good...

    Back In She Goes....

Re: Back In She Goes.... Well since mine is a conversion I cant speak for everyone else, but taking it back out has never been hard. It just seems that nothing ever goes back together quite as easily. This time it was the exhaust manifolds. If I didnt know any better I would have thought they...

Re: Back In She Goes.... Thanks guys. Well this is the 4th time it has been out in 3 years so I have had my fair share of issues. It's been worth it though.

    Back In She Goes....

Well after 3 months of headaches and changes, the motor is finally going back in. Here are a couple of the pics. I will be repainting the Syclone lettering red and the Turbo 4.3 black on the polished upper. Let me know what you think.

    Overheating Help

Re: Overheating Help Very good info. I didnt know that about distilled water. First I ran a 50/50 mix (no issues) then I was running a wetter and distilled when all this started. Then I went back to a 50/50 mix, but still have the problem. I wonder??? I will do some more testing with what you...

    Overheating Help

Re: Overheating Help Good info. I have suspected that the lower rad hose could be part of the issue (even though it is not leaking) because it is very close to the x-over pipe. I never thought about it collapsing. Could you elaborate more on the steam pockets? Thanks for your help. These ideas...

    Overheating Help

Re: Overheating Help Thanks for the input. Good point on the return hose. I will check that. The t-stat has been changed and totally removed and it does the same thing. So I really dont think its the stat.

    Overheating Help

Ok so I waited until I ran several tests and searched for a similar problem before I asked. Here is my issue. After about 60 to 80 miles (even at night) or sitting at idle for 30 minutes my coolant starts to bleed over into the overflow tank. The rad never pulls this fluid back so eventually I...

    97 GMC Synoma

Re: 97 GMC Synoma Well I am hoping to find that out this weekend. Supposed to be heading to the track. I have a couple of small issues to deal with first though; turbo oil return line blew apart during the dyno, small coolant leak, and a bad o2 sensor. I will be running on streets so I am not...

    97 GMC Synoma

Re: 97 GMC Synoma Thanks guys. As I stated that was a very safe tune because it is my daily driver. I really wanted to go to 24psi but I just felt better about dialing it down to 21psi. At least for now.
