harwood glass cowl induction hood $200

Better check to make sure what kind it is. From the price, I would guess it is a lift off style and doesnt use the hinges. Have to put pins in it to hold it on and everytime you want to go under the hood, you would have to take the whole thing off.

    Setting timing and engine vibrations

Take the dist cap off and try to move the rotor back and forth. I had to replace the dist drive gear on mine. Also, with the cap off and plugs out rotate the engine slowly until the rotor starts to move and the turn it the oposite direction to see how much play is in the timing chain.

    Engine tie downs

I have a turnbuckle on mine and have it slightly loose so the mount takes normal vibrations out and once it flexes the chain takes over. I wrapped it with a piece of heater hose to take away any rattle that might cause false knock. At least Datamaster shows nothing of it.

    Cold Start

If your engine is slow to turn over check the battery draw. What kind of oil are you running. Maybe its a little thick on those cold mornings. Pumping the pedal does nothing. Fuel injection doesnt have an accelerator pump.

    Motor mounts?

I replaced mine when I had the tranny out a couple months ago. It is one major pain in rear to get them out without picking the engine out of the bay. It can be done with the engine in but I wouldn't do it again. I would unbolt the engine and lift it up if I ever had to do it again.

Wavering boost gauge how do I get solid boost?

Save yourself some money and take a bunch of the crap off and out of the way until you can get a good wrench onto the bolt and get it loose. Break it free and snug it back down until you can barely turn the distributor. Put all of the crap back on and set the timing. You can get back into it...
