premium is almost 1.90 here. If it goes up much more I think I'm just gonna start putting racing gas in the sy. Plus to make this even better mine only gets about 11 miles to the gallon anyway. :drinking:

It's a sharp looking truck but 17 is way too much in my opinion for a truck that's not original. I'd say 13 or 14 would be tops. That way you could put it back original and still hopefully not loose too much.

I did some checking and the LS6 Chevelle ran a 13.12@107.01. I couldn't find a time for the El Camino's but I image that they are a tic or two slower than the Chevelle's.

I'm not sure what the camino's run in the quarter. I always thought that the new F-150 Lightnings were the fastest production truck or at least so they claim.

I was looking at a pretty nice one at the Corvette show in knoxville in october for 12,500. It had a few minor mechanical problems but nothing major. And there was an absoulutley gourgeous one at the Turkey Rod Run for like 16 so you could probably save your money and get one that dosen't have...

on the subject of build dates my dad's syclone is #0004. It's even got a little label inside the glove box that says GM-004 on it(not sure if that's normal or not). I was just wondering what day it was made on. Obviously it's very very early.
