Re: 1270HP AWD Syclone TT????
It's been sometime time since I've posted on here due to leaving from all the pissing wars that seemed to be abundant back in the day and maybe still are.
I've been along for the ride with John's Syclone since he traded his 1995 Cobra mustang for it 7 years ago. In a way you could say I'm the whole reason he has this outrageously fast and wild truck.
It all started when we were out street racing in Greeley, CO and although John's Syclone was not runnning quite right I was able to peer pressure John into racing a Mustang with nitrous. Needless to say he lost and promised that he would never lose another race in his truck. So far he has lived up to that promise, but mainly only due to not racing anybody since the last 4 years he has poured every dollar and every minute into building his truck.
Let me be the first to acknowledge as a witness that John is truely the only one responsible for the truck being what it is today. If you have ever experienced an endeavor of this kind it truely is an one you could right a book about.
As said before pictures do not do this truck justice in such aspects as the two piece intake manifold we custom molded on a sheetmetal bender or the titanium fuel rails we had welded up just for the fact that it was something different and thought it was unique. Every part of the truck has a purpose or meaning even if not understood by the general enthusiast. The victim cam that displays an LCD in the radio din using the camera John purchased at the last Nationals we attended. The purple fade cladding that we hararassed John about since the first day it was shot onto a piece of cladding. No it was never meant to be that color, but it was too late and it grow's on you after a while. Kind of like mold, but never the less it grows.
The exhaust of the truck was simply an inexpensive way to avoid having to buy a complete exhaust system and engineer a way to run it to the rear of the truck. Other complications were figuring out how to set the timing points so the Motec could see where the engine is in its revolution. The short of this whole post is that anybody that tries to discredit what has been done here does not know the true meaning of being an enthusisast.
For those of you wanting the recipe for this truck I can list the parts, but there is one ingredient you can't buy and that is the imagination and and innovation that John inputs in any project he builds.
