Ok so I'm building the clone still. I have the LT1 and the 700R4. The question now is which AWD transfer case is the correct one. I know one is a single speed while the other is a dual speed. I do not know the difference between the two output flanges. Any help on this will futher my assembly and conversion in my truck.

30 views and no replys. I also would like to know the answer since I need to find one for my truck and getting one locally is a much easier option.

SyTy use a BW1372 or BW4472, one has a 27, the other 32 spline driveshaft . A dual speed transfer case is probably a 4x4 transfer case not an AWD.

Thanks for the reply. Do these have the same output flange dimensions, and if so what output flange do our trucks come with?

Re: 3.5 or 4.5 tcase output flange.

From everything I've read, our output flange in 3.5

Now I'm re-reading and seeing 41/4.....I have no idea now :rotf: sorry

Re: 3.5 or 4.5 tcase output flange.

So would the spline count be in correlation with the 3.5 or 4.5 output flange? I was planning on getting my running gear from a Bravada and the two output options come up.

Re: 3.5 or 4.5 tcase output flange.

So does anyone have any idea what the difference is between the 3.5 and the 4.5 flange, is the 3.5 the 27 spline, and is the 4.5 the 32 spline ty unit?

Re: 3.5 or 4.5 tcase output flange.

Went through all these questions myself the last weeks :)

The SY transfer case has the 27spline output shaft and the TY has the 32 spline output shaft (as allready mentioned by others).

But the TY shaft is also about 1-1 1/2 " longer than the SY shaft, so it has a longer rear housing and uses a shoerter rear drive shaft.

You could use both TC´s, but with the TY shaft you would need a different rear drive shaft.
