I purchased this motor with plans of replacing my current engine but I have decided to go another direction with my truck. So I'm listing it for sale here first then I'll put it up on the ole interweb if nobody wants it.

4.3 L V6 Built for Boost
Iron Block L35 and Vortec Heads
Block is fitted with Billet 4 bolt caps & ARP Studs.
Front and Rear caps are strapped. Bryant Billet 3.50" stroke crankshaft, Eagle 4340 H-beam Rods, JE Pistons and ring set, Heads are ported with competition Valve job , Ferrea stainless steel valves, dual crower springs and steel retainers ( Hyd Roller). the heads are machined for screw in studs.

This engine is new and never been ran. Its at my machine shop sitting when I purchased it I had it sent to him to go over and make sure everything looked good and he told me that its all there and everything looks great. I'm asking $4,000 to get my money back and I think it's a very good deal. Im in Dallas Texas if you're interested give me a call.

Odd fire or even fire crank. What's the compression? You say JE pistons. Are they SRP or Extreme dutys.
What oil pump is in it? Melling? Bore size? Any idea on the cam. Sorry but anybody interested is going to want to know.

I'll get back with you with as many answers as I can. I doubt I will be able to get the exact cam specks the motor was originally built to make 700 hp.. Tha compression is 9:1 I believe. And I'll confirm that as well. Have to make a call to the builder that actually built the engine.

If you're lucky, and if the shop tore it down far enough, he may have jotted down the cam numbers. I wonder if the shop could pull the cam "plug" at the back of the block and check? Just thinkin' out loud. I don't want it but I would think that people who do will want that info.

Regarding the crankshaft stroke of 3.500 vs oem 3.480
does this not decrease the piston to valve clearance ??

I'm sure the JE pistons are custom for the 3.50 stroke to keep compression where it needs to be..

The relationship between the crank CL distance to the deck, crank stroke, rod length, and pin height is complex. TDC is TDC regardless of stroke. Assuming all else the same piston to valve clearance will not change there. While the piston passes through TDC it's a different matter and over my head.
