Ya I totally understand the feeling. The truck is a bear to keep strait off the line.
I need to pull the TC out to have it adjusted anyway so that will be a good time to pull the Front diff.

to help you understand that, most often i find a new best time comes with a run that feels very smooth. meaning no feeling of spinning, not hearing the caltracs hitting, etc....
one other thing i can tell you is now with a manual steering box in it and the lockrite removed the steering effort makes you forget its not power steering.
thursday nite we saw 2 quick 8 cars get badly out of shape, 1 hit the wall. I asked harry what looked worse my bad runs or those 2 cars.
harry told me i looked worse out of shape.
It was just that violent!!!
hopefully this helps get the point accross.
I can tell you will never miss that lockrite and wont look back and wont have to lift. lol

You go smooth and nice in this run as Robert allways do.. fast, no thrill, and boooring for the camera and spectators to watch but fast..
Should bee fun to watch who gets the 8 first... I´m damn sure it wont survive this season..

You Ed and Robert in the same spot but you and Roberts engines is in one peace yet..
Good hunt for Hoovers times Ed, we´ll do a big shot for the low nies soon..here in sweden.

Thats exactly my point, this summer I belive One or more of the real fast sy (V6 turbo 3700lbs street driven) will hit the 8 nr.. Question is WHO is to bee the "Legend"
Maybee start a betting circus??

Robert, Svenne (Roberts helper) and I was this saturday to Norway (Gardemoen) to try the changes on the truck and make some base line tripps to be prepared to the contest in belgium in 17 days..
4 hours tripp, unload the Sy check everything (tire pressure and so, you know the drill) and pass inspection,, no trouble here
Time for the first run..we inspeckted the prep´s on the tracks and I allmoust fell on my noseand allmoust stepped out of my shoes yeeesssss goood tracbite prep.. and good temp around 17´celsius sunny and a lithle windy knowing how pleased Robert been with the truck I thought " Its going to bee a fast run but how fast??"
Guiding robert towards the water and give him the "tumbs up" and watched the violent 4 wheel burnout that drifted the truck sideways I was stunned.. THAT amount of power I´ve never seen before :O
Up to the line and away he whent 150 meter out it seems like Robert let go OFF the pedal???
Then he dint return to pit I phoned him " engine failur" was the short answer...Noooo not now..
Whell we couldn fix it att the track so We loaded the truck and headed home.. :C
Finally found the foult.. 3 bolts holding the cam sprocket was loose and the sprocket wobbled around making noise and shifting the timing and caming ... all in all the gearset is to bee changed and LUCILLY no more damaged is discovered for now.. and begium here we go
The time then? a 10,25...

My boss owns Van Vending Service. His Dad is pretty wealthy so he didnt come here to get rich. He came to the U.S. to go to school on a golf scholorship at TCU. He decided after being here that he wanted to make his own fortune not live off his fathers. His family still lives there. Do you know anyone with the last name Svedin?
