I need the carpet from the rear seats to the tailgate. I also need a driver side fender and wheel wells. I am in minneapolis. Please PM with pricing and pick up options. Thanks

Yeah.... I was wondering the same thing. I was trying to get prices about cladding and the next thing I know it is sold to someone else. WTF?? If your going to sell to someone else thats your choice, but at least have some class and tell the guy that inquired about it first and asked for "dibs" on it. If you didnt like my question I posed to you then have some testicular fortitude and say piss off or tell me to go screw myself. Not cool.....but as long as you get yours...........

Actually, I inquired about the cladding, made an offer and bought most of it a day before you even posted.

People don't realize that those things can happen. No offense to anyone, but its easy to jump the gun and make rude post in someone's FS threads. Happens all the time. Not hard to find drama when parts are being sold. Specially when you have rare vehicles like ours.

I still havnt recieved a reply telling me if the cladding is sold or not. I really wanted to pick up the passenger rocker cladding I need it bad so I can get a paint job and the price was great so I figured maybe I could get it. Oh well guess I will have to wait until the next one comes around and push my paint job back some more!

Re: Repriced 93 Typhoon part out

So what is the deal here? I am getting conflicting reports. I have talked to a bunch of people that say this thread has died and the person(s) selling these parts are no responding and selling the parts to other people even tho they have made arrangements first.

I think the seller is too new to be posting forsale thread. Especially if they are upsetting REAL members here. It seems to be taking the seller way too long for SIMPLE requests.

Admins, can you please step in here, I think this is getting out of control. It is bad enough it took so long to post vin, but they are upsetting donating members.

SYTY is not craigslist. I think only donating members should be able to sell on this site.

then you shouldnt be parting out a truck, simple as that, because it becomes a fulltime job in itself. I just recently parted out an '05 GTO and i can tell you from experience that youre doing it the WRONG way.

Before you even signed up on this forum, you should have made a list of ALL the parts and pieces you wanted to sell, taken pictures of them and had prices worked out for all of them. Then when you got all these emails and PMs, all you had to do was figure out shipping and put it in a box, collect the money and you were done.

I was shipping out 3 - 6 boxes daily for a solid 2 weeks before things slowed down, not to mention those who stopped by to pick parts up.

What did you expect would happen when you posted the parts for sale, nobody to be interested? Your intentions were good, but your game plan sucks. If you dont have the time to part out a vehicle, you shouldnt be parting it out, that is the exact reason why people sell trucks WHOLE like the one you bought. Yeah, they can make more money selling it off bit by bit, but it takes a lot of time and effort to do it efficiently, and you clearly sound like you dont have the time with working 2 jobs and being sick and everything else.

And on top of that, not only is your PM box filling up, so is mine with complaints about your sales (or lack there of) and lack of communication. If you dont get your act together quick, not only is nobody going to want to buy things from you, but I might be forced to remove your thread all together because there is nothing I can do to resolve the issue any other way.

First things first. You openly admit that you don't have time to check .net or pull the parts off the truck. Which means people are going to pay for there stuff and wait months for there product....or get pissed because you sold them a item that when you pulled it off the truck it got damaged.

My advise to you to help remedy this whole situation is too pull the parts off the truck first. Take a picture of so parts. Post part with picture and price. If you have problems trying to figure out a price, use the search button located at the top right. You can find previous posts and what they sold for.

I would never buy a part without a pic of it. not to mention not pulled of the truck. especially cladding, because of there brittleness.

My :2cents:

Re: Repriced 93 Typhoon part out

i am sorry for the frustration everybody is having here, but like I said i am new at this and yeah truth be told I really had no idea this was gonna get this big of a response. And yes that is bad planning on my part. I am trying to get everything taken care of asap. Alot of stuff has already been shipped out. You guys gotta remember it's only been a week. It's not like i've taken peoples money and stiffed them on parts for 6 months. Please don't remove my thread I am trying to do what I can, and like I said i don't know how to post pics on here so send me your email and i will send pics that way. If it takes a day or two for me to get back to you your patience will be noted.

Having parted out a truck, I thought was ready for hte intial wave but I was sadly mistaken. You will also find out that 1/4 of you time will be actually parting the truck out, the rest of the time will be packing, answer email/pm, and shipping quotes.
