His password can be reset and his email changed. He has our phone numbers/emails if he wants to contact any of us.

His brother? Huh? Have you smoked yourself retarded? lol

That was Dave, also.

What the title of the account holder doesn't matter, he posted a fair amount of crap under that name. I don't know if they were merged or not.

Re: A ton of lost knowledge and experience...

Its a shame that there is a lot of information that will not be passed on. As someone said previously, everyone was a "noob" once. Fortunately, most of us had others, whether friends family or neighbors, that we played with cars with. I remember helping my dad set the timing on his mustang when I was a kid (he trusted me to start his manual trans car at about 9 or 10) also remember as a 12 year old or so helping an older kid work on his 79 trans am. In todays time as an adult, there is a kid across the street that comes by and wants to help. I let him. it is our responsibility to teach the next generation, and even our present generation. I let my young kids now help me out, and will always take the time to teach them car stuff. Some people just don't want to. Maybe people have more information than others and are tired of constantly helping.
Personally, I'm no noob to cars, but was a Syty noob and am thankful for those that helped. Hopefully I contribute my fair share back.

Re: A ton of lost knowledge and experience...

Dave has gone out of his way to help me. I know he has worked on several peoples trucks for them and even sent PM's to members giving them info on how to repair problems that they have posted questions about.

That sucks especially when he said that be would help when more info came out. Ie. Compnine

Simple fact:

"There are a few that ruin it for the rest".

The Sonoma #'s were done a few years ago and compiled from actual shipper documents. However, Typhoon #'s are spotty and still remain incomplete.

This is not "new" information; search owns!

I'm certain the Typhoon numbers will appear one day, and I'll be right there to help with the verification.

There's alot in Merk's life that I'm sure he didn't forsee 7 1/2 years ago. Being active on this site is probably the least of those worries.

I don't think Ken is lamenting Merk not being active on the board anymore. He's saying his posts contained info that we should be trying to restore. Info that Merk himself deleted. :2cents:
