Adam's Truck

Adam left his truck over here at my house so he could do a few things to it on the lift. He is not here, and I really don't have anything else to do, so I thought it might be a good idea to go ahead and throw a muffler on it and not tell him.

Anyone who knows Adam's truck knows how loud it is. Any thoughts? Anything else I should do to it while he is not here?

Re: Adam's Truck

You could be washing the underside of it with a box of cotton swabs.

The dump plate is sitting behind my driver seat. That might make it about .0002 decibels quieter. It's 3 bolts. Go for it.

Hoping to come over later on. I got a nice big bottle of the purple stuff to make the bottom shine. Plus, Id really like to get that damn ALDL to work.

Hook up the horn to the brake lights.

Interesting idea. His horn on the steering wheel does not work anyway, and your idea would make the truck a lot safer. It would also make autocross a lot more interesting and entertaining.

Thanks, Jeff

Ha! I would put a flowmaster on it!
Actually, I have a muffler laying around that came off of a 1977 Plymouth Volare that had a 225 slant six. That should fit the bill quite well, as that was a quiet car.

Adam, can you pick up a 3" to 1.5" exhaust pipe reducer on your way over to we can go ahead and get this done?

Edit: I just found a reducer here in the garage, so you don't need to pick one up. I will go ahead and weld the reducer to your down pipe to get a head start.

swap the fronts to the back. Or do they hit up front? . Tires/rims I'm talking about.

I like these rims much better than the black one's that Adam has. What do you guys think. I went through a lot of work to get these bad boys on his truck.

Been doing a little thinking, and since Adam now lives in Crawfordville (or "BFE" as he calls it), he should be running at least one space saver spare tire.

Just like everyone else around here does.

If anyone wants to see what the original color if your bed/cab is supposed to be and what a rust free truck looks like, just ask. It isn't black.

That wash was well past due and much needed, especially after the front diff issue that left the underside covered in fluid. I probably picked up a 1/16th on my times and lost 4 years of my life inhaling the cleaner solvent while applying.
