Adopt a Ty noob

I'm looking for someone basically within 4 to 6 hours or less driving distance from baton rouge, la to help me run a datamaster scan ( I try and try with different settings and I cant get it or any other program to talk to my Ty) on my ty and drive it and make an assessment of it. I am willing to compensate for your time of coarse.

As far west as the Houston area as far north as shreveport area or as far east as the Fla pan handle area.

com 3..when I try other coms it doesnt even communicate to the aldl. I get the serial cable working correctly but cannot talk to pcm error when i do com 3. so it seems to me it gets farther with that setting

is the engine type code 59 (or some number) 4.3 turbo correct?

I use that cable, the appropriate driver from the manufacturer and tuner pro RT to monitor aldl data, among other things

yea I loaded the driver from the disc that came with the cable with no problems.

what jumpers if any do you use on that cable?

no jumpers used- are you still trying to use datamaster?

Lets try and figure out a time you can drive that bastage of a Ty up here and have a look

yea..it says aldl working but no pcm detected. Ive tried all the timing settings that web site says to use both with and without the jumper and I get the same error.

Ive also unplugged and replugged all the wiring harnesses on the pcm and that didn't help.

Lets try and figure out a time you can drive that bastage of a Ty up here and have a look

the next two saturdays are no good for me. I'll keep in touch. This saturday would have been good but it's too late to start drivin anywheres now that far.

try tuner pro RT and see if your issue manifests there.
