Re: Air fuel gauge

You mentioned in your other thread youre running Code59. Do you have a wideband?

If not, screw messing with that air/fuel gauge and trying to tap the O2 and just buy a PLX setup....it'll make tuning with Code59 better and more accurate anyhow. The SM-AFR DM-5 combo is awesome and easy to install.

Re: Air fuel gauge

Thanks I will have to look into it
I was only hooking it up cause it was in the pillar pod with the boost gauge that I'm in the process of hooking up

Re: Air fuel gauge

so you're hooking up a narrowband gauge. or are you wiring a wideband gauge into your O2 sensor?

Re: Air fuel gauge

Autometer phantom air fuel gauge is what was in it I just wired it back up and seems pretty consistent in being center of the gauge for measurement and I also hooked the autometer boost gauge up as well and looks to be only pulling 14 lbs

Re: Air fuel gauge

If you have time, you can pull the passenger side kickpanel out. Pull the ECM down from its bracket and open the cover. If the truck was custom tuned (Code59), it should have a small microchip in it. If its an off-the-shelf chip (ATR or Kennebell), it will be a large blue/brown plastic chip. If it has a small black box cabled to it, its possibly and Ultimate.

If you have a laptop, you can download Datamaster, and buy/borrow a ALDL cable. The program scans the truck and lets you datalog to see what the truck is doing. Its very helpful in telling you what boost & timing you are running.

Re: Air fuel gauge

It's a factory chip definitely not aftermarket so I guess from what I've been told it could have the tune .....I'm ordering the cables and stuff this weekend so I'll know for sure
