ALDL question

NHSTE - I'm the only one!
I'm going to be running my motor on an engine dyno and need to run datamaster on it.
After doing some research, I have concluded that all I need are pins A and M on the ALDL connector for DM to function?
[F|E|D|C|B|A]
[G|H|J|K|L|M]
With A being a generic ground and M being serial data feed from pin BA9 on the ecm (461 0.8-ORN) (via the c101 connector right at the begining of the engine harness, pin A)

Re: ALDL question

^^^^^^^^^^I didn't know DM hooked up to the OBDII port...^^^^^^^^^^^^^

See there, I learned something.

This prolly doesn't help you much does it?

Re: ALDL question

Didn't help me but did you apparently. Yes, the DM cable slides over the OBD1 (we have old trucks  ) port

Re: ALDL question

To answer your question: Yes, you are correct. Any ALDL cable connects to the 'M' pin for the analog signal and 'A' is ground for ECM information.
