ALERT! someone has a VIRUS

I got a PM from Jeremy aka Syclone 697 asking if I has sent him a weird e-mail.

After replying that I had not, he sent me back the e-mail Subject : HI and upon getting that, I noticed this in my bulk mail folder.

It seems like someone in the SyTy community has a virus and its sending out e-mail to everyone in their address book.

Just figured everyone should be aware of this and to not open weird emails with the subject ERROR or HI.

i got 3 weird emails like that earlier today...all within about 10 minutes...i didnt open the attachments, though...

got mine today also, one from turbotony, sigo and some other ones. straight deleted. someone do a virus scan.

just did a complete virus scan and I am clean, including compressed files.

I have received an undeliverable staus for a address of linda@etown.edu

So if anyone has her on your list you MIGHT be suspect. Lets try to get this one taken care of before it gets WAY out of hand.

A good site if you have no virus protection is www.commandondemand.com It will tell you if you have a virus but you will have to pay to get it fixed unless you get the patch off the internet.
Heard of this address by a friend in the know, if someone knows a better one please feel free to post.
