on my L35 there is a small pipe thread plug about 3" away from the oil pres sender port
near the dist.
i believe this is where the syty's have the knock sens.. its located on or very near the end of the cam cam bearing area right near the trans mount on an angle facing the drivers side

my questions is... is this an ok place to put an oil pressure switch/guage sender ?
im using the normal one to feed the turbo and run my autometer oil press guage

thanks in advance

Re: alternate oil pressure sens location question

there is only one place in the rear of the block and that is where the oil pressure sending unit goes. If you cut a hole or notch the bellhousing area of the block you may be able to feed a line or fitting up from one of the 3 rear oil gallies for the lifters/main bearings. fyi, The knock sensor is threaded into air.

other then that, you have the stock turbo feed location or if using a remote mount filter you can pull the 3/8" pipe plug.
