11.77 @ 118
Just made this pass tonight, it's an awesome feeling driving something that fast! We should have videos in a day or two.
Started on 91 octane at 15 psi, and my friend was driving (it's his truck).
First pass was a 13.0 Second was a 12.5 at 108, much better. Then we put 107 octane gas in and went to race timing. 3rd pass was 12.2, so we decided to turn up the boost - wanted to break into the 11s for sure so we went to about 19 psi and ran an 11.91 (woohoo first 11 second pass). We turned it up a little more and he ran a 11.81 at 118.4 Then I took a turn driving and managed the 11.77 at 118 run.
I was going to do another pass but something happened, I had a good launch but then it cut out real bad - felt like hitting the rev limiter several times or something. So I just coasted down the track.
I'm not sure what happened but I think it may have something to do with the gas because they didn't have any unleaded 107, so we used leaded. I'm thinking maybe it's not compatible with the spark plugs or something (ngk tr55) I told him to drive the rest of it out and put back regular 91 and see how it does.
