Anti lock light burnt out?

This is sort of a simple question and isn't really an issue just annoying thats all. Lately my anti lock and brake lights have been on most likely due to me needing to reset them but lately I have been pretty busy so I haven't gotten around to reseting the lights. Well tonight as I was leaving applebees I started up my truck but this time instead of both the anti lock and brake lights coming on only the brake light came on. When I got home I shut the truck off and then turned the key to the on position to allow all the lights to come on to see if the anti lock light would light up but low and behold it didn't. So what I'm assuming is that the light has burnt out and I was wondering what kind of bulb the light uses and if its a real pain in the ass to replace and If I should really even bother with it. Thanks in advance.

If ABS isnt important to you, you can disconnect one of the plugs on the ABS unit itself. Cant remember which one, I think its the middle. Shuts the light off!

i tried that, remove one, you get the brake light, remove the other i think you get brake light. i dont know if you can do that. abs on this truck is almost useless unles you are driving in the rain

Well Im gonna go try jumping the wires and see what I find, yes if you unplug the middle one I think it is, both lights go out which I have done before.

I unplugged all three on my old Sy to get rid of the lights. I think you only need to pull the two towards the motor, but I just removed them all anyways.

Re: Anti lock light burnt out?

well after jumping pin b to ground only the brake light came on so I'm assuming the bulb finally blew, after that I reset the abs and there are no lights now which I knew would be the case because the abs is fine on my truck, the next question is how hard is it to change that type 174 bulb in the gauge cluster, if its too much of a pain then I'll probably just let it be as it isn't an issue that is going to affect how the truck operates its just annoying to know that the bulb is in fact burnt out and that I should fix it.
