Anyone else have Kenne Bell headers?

How did you manage to change out the #2 and #4 plugs? I think I will have to get it on a lift and remove the starter to have access to them. the header is right behind the plug with only about 1" clearance.

I changed out the other 4 (3 of them being fouled) and there is a huge difference already. I can imagine what the last 2 look like.

I do. With practice, I can change them all in about 20 minutes just by jacking up the frame a litle and working through the wheel well. I think I have to use an open end wrench on one and a knuckle joint on another. don't have to remove anything.

you probably have a standard length plug which on some sets will not come out in one piece. You need to just snap them and replace with the shorter NGK racing plugs. Also are you running aluminum heads or factory straight plug?

They are Brodix aluminum heads and the plugs are shorties, AC Delco 41-602 recommended by Brodix for this reason. The prior owner said they were a pita, but supposedly did them himself even still. I was finally able to loosen #4 with an open-ended wrench and almost get it out, but when I saw the situation with #2 I just said hell with it.

Time is money to me and rather than screw around in the garage for 6 hours on 2 stinkin' plugs I think I'll have my mechanic friend put it on his lift to see if he has an easy grab at it. If there is another trick I'd be glad to hear it and save me the $, though. Oh, I also forgot to mention the headers and wires are all heatwrapped making the situation even worse.

im not sure about the AC delco part number as I have never used it, but i can almost assure you the NKG plugs will be a bit shorter. Over time i have collected some homeade sockets to assist in jobs like this, but just a shorty spark plug socket with a head on it to turn with a wrench will work enough to break it loose, then do the rest by hand. shouldnt take you more then 1 hr with the motor cooled off.

Do you have an NGK/AC Delco part number cross reference link online? I'd like to try matching the AC41-602 part to the NGK and try that in the future.

i dont, but i would assume an 8 heat range should be good for mid/high boost. FOr low boost and pump gas you may be able to run 7s.
