The guy who I spoke with claims that they use their trucks and that they aren't a broker.
I figure for the cost to fly up there and the gas for the trip (approx 900 miles) plus having to spend 2 days (15 hours approximately) to drive back down, it would probably be worth it just to have it shipped.

Not to mention the paranoid side of me can picture being stuck in the middle of BFE Indiana with something going wrong and having a non-running truck 1/2 way from home. :D

At least you won’t be going through Tennessee where they play banjos (remember the deer hunter movie).

A friend of mine used a service like you are describing. He bought a Model A Ford from a museum in Albuquerque. He didn’t want to drive it back the 1500 miles so he hired the transportation company. Everything worked out just fine.

The 18 wheeler trailer was enclosed was clean and the car was all strapped in. Not a scratch.

The only problem was that he had to wait on the truck to make a few rounds before his car got picked up and a few more rounds before his car was delivered. I guess they try to not backtrack if they can avoid it.

That wouldn't be TOO terribly bad since I am in Nashville anyways. Hah.
When speaking with him, he gave me a 2 day window of when it would be able to be picked up. I am trying to stay away from brokers as I have heard that's what could happen if dealing with them. "Oh, we will get it this date. No, this date. No, this date."

If it were to break down, I would want to make sure it would be in Southern Indiana so that I could just call you to come and get me. :)
Now if it broke down say an hour south or north of Indy, that would suck.

jeff cant do it?tyguyjeff?

PM'd Jeff. He's tied up for the next few weeks or he would be able to do it.
Don't really want to:
A: Buy a truck and then not be able to get it for a month or two
B: Have the truck be a burden by taking up garage space of the seller
