Boost Spike???

Just finished my ty evrything was good but i was only making 10lbs of boost so I was told to put a manual boost controller on and now the truck pulls like a rape ape boost gauge then all off a sudden boost jumps to 24 trucks starts acting crazy kinda jumping any help what to do or look for truck has stock turbo l35 heads and 412 comp cam ulta chip everything else is stock.

check for a vac leak....sounds like there is air escaping and not letting your wastegate know how much boost there is.
