Borla exhaust, how loud are they?

Was cleaning out the shed the other day and found the borla cat back system I picked up forever ago.

Anyone have one on their truck? I'd like to lose the chambered muffler I've had forever, if just for the weight if nothing else. The borla muffler is quite a bit smaller and lighter I'm sure plus the full stainless system would be nice.

My concern is I don't want the truck to become stupid loud and attract the wrong kind of attention. That's what the electric dump valve is for :tup:

I have the borla cat back on my sy, very quiet and deep sound. I'll try to post a vid later today after work.

I'm pretty sure my Ty has a Borla cat back. It's a little louder than my stock Sy exhaust, but not much, just a little different tone. I like the Borla for sure, and I hate loud exhaust too.

Had a Borla on my first Typhoon.

It has a deep sound to it that is not obnoxious at all. Doesn't drone either.

I love my Borla exhaust. Pretty deep tone and perfect volume. It is loud enough to sound good and quiet enough that every idiot isn't going to be eyeballing you.

Mine w/o the cat is a little loud for me at highway speed....droning. If you have the cat still I'm sure it'd be fine.

Tony, mine is a borla. Come over and take a listen. I still have a cat on it though.

I had Borla catback on my Syclone. On a my stock dp with a cat it sounded great not too loud no resonance. I added a bigger turbo 3" dp & 3" cat and it was very loud and had a lot of resonance. I had a similar experiment e with my corvette it sound great stock but the resonance was unbearable when I added headers.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I will try the borla, worst case I can swap it back.

My truck sits so much that with the mild steel muffler and exhaust I usually have a big cloud of rust follow me the first day that I drive it hard, rather embarassing at the track lol.
