Brake Lights Stay On Intermittently

On a very irregular basis, by brake lights stay on. If I don;'t notice it, they stay on all night long. If I catch it, all I have to do is tap the brakes a few times and they stay off. Any suggestions?

The switch is sticking behind your brake pedal??

It does not seem to be sticking. I've checked it out and it appears clean, nothing plugging it up. If it was a short, it would either stay on or off all the time, right?

If the swtich was on the edge of being on or off, an adjustment could help.

Can't you just adjust the switch.. I haven't check in the syclone but I know in my mustang it was basically a screw that you could adjust the point of turn on/off behind the pedel

The switch is plastic. mine slipped back. I just readjusted it and its all good now.

It's around $10. I messed with mine, not any adjustment so to speak. It still had problems.

Went down and bought a new one, replaced it once, and it was fixed.

Go ahead a f with it, if it works great, otherwise keep messing with it until you get tired of it and then buy one and replace it.

Same here. I just pushed the switch 2 threads closer to the pedal and it did the trick for me, I tried to screw it closer but there's not enough room to get even half a revolution out of it so I just pushed it to jump a couple of threads
