You are familiar with them: C6 Z06 rims, black with the machined lip. I need to run 17s Our roads are pretty crappy up here. The 275/40R17 size sidewall should be okay.
Imagine driving to work on a road that is in a little better condition than heritage square's parking lot.
That was one of my purposes of Nats- view tire/wheel packages. Thanks to all of you attendees for that!

If you happened to look at the couple of picture boards I brought to Nats, there was a frost white/frost white on there. Yes, it's been done, but it's been a real long time since I've seen one.
Forest/Silver would be a not-too-often seen combo.

I have the next 9 days off, so I hope to get the Syclone ready for paint. The grille showed up today (thanks Steve). Still working on a color, but the Challenger "Green with Envy" is kinda stricking my fancy right about now (or the Mazda 2 "Spirited Green Metallic"). The only problem will be the red accents in the cabin will need to be changed.
I have the next 9 days off, so I hope to get the Syclone ready for paint. The grille showed up today (thanks Steve). Spring is almost here, so I can start parking the drivers outside again. With that in mind, I ordered up the cowl hood so that I can paint the truck. I gave up on the green. I decided I didn't want to be looking at Christmas colors all year long. Probably black, but not 100% yet.
Hood shipped me the rest of the goodies for the vortec swap, so while I am waiting on the hood, I will pull the motor and install the new parts.

Now all the body pieces are here. One last coat of primer and one more round of blocking sanding should have this ready for paint.

Got the drivers out of the garage and now to clear up 6 months of winter stashing. Amazing what you can stack up without a bed on it!

I pulled the old hood off and test-fitted the new Goodmark steel hood.
I checked for damage, but missed this? Not bad I guess, but I will see what, if anything, the freight company will do.

Started collecting the cladding and realized the bulk was in my shed. One small problem:
Of course they are all in the left shed, along with freshly painted metropolitan doors, trim and other cool parts. Time to see what is salvageable...

Fortune shined down upon me today. I had placed the cladding against the original door, which took the brunt of the fall. The front and rear bumper covers were in the back of the shed and didn't have any weight against them.
I wasn't able to retrieve the rear quarter claddings as they were frozen to the shed floor. I don't need them until next week, so I will place a heater in there and put a cover over the top.
I placed the door cladding on the vehicle so that I could start blocking it without worrying whether or not it was straight.
I am guessing the front arches don't follow the body where they line up with the bumper? Seems a bit cheesy.

I spent about an hour and a half with a torch, melting the ice around the rear cladding to get it out of the shed. The only Syclone part damaged was the side mirror on the original door had the mirror glass itself broken. Heck, that could have happened before I bought it as well.
I was able to repair the cladding (3 cracks) and get all of it sanded down. Tomorrow I prep for sealer and primer for the cladding and hopefully the last bit of primer for the truck itself.

Spent the afternoon prepping the garage for painting and then was able to spray the primer and sealer on the cladding, front and rear bumpers and the grille. Sanding the grille has been the worse part of this build...and I will have to do it again tomorrow as well.

Wet sanded all the cladding, bumpers and grille. How did those that reprinted their grille deal with coverage inside the slats? Looks like that will be a pain. Perhaps I will shoot the backside of the slats first and then shoot the front.
Tomorrow: sand the spot putty and put a little primer on a few pieces of cladding. By the end of the evening, I should back to working on the cab/hood.
