I came across these wheels at a chevy dealership.

They were swapped out from a customers corvette that wanted a different set, they need new tires and have a few spots of curb rash. I didn't do much homework on these which is pretty atypical of me before making a purchase but the dealership didn't want them on their floor forever and I feel I haggled a fair price. I did pull up this thread on my phone before I bought them and I figured if those Z06 wheels are working for NJSERRANO then these could work for me. Anybody ever use these particular wheels? What tire setup did you use and what spacers did you use? The rear 19x12's are huge hopefully they are not too big.

Nice! Should look great.

I think you will have to do just like he posted in that thread. 1/4" spacer and longer studs. I had less than a 1/4 spacer with my 18x12, and didnt replace the studs, it rubbed when it would articulate.

I really love those GS's...I think that they compliment the boxy lines of these trucks. Btw, my fronts are 18x8.5" replicas for a standard C6. The front spacer may be necessary for the front too. Good pick-up!

Make sure you use the same total diameter tires front and rear so you don't burn up the transfer case.

Yeah I read about that.
Please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that It is OK if the tires are a larger diameter than the stock 25.7 just as long as they are equal on all 4 corners. I haven't come across a wide tire for a 19x12 wheel that matches the stock diameter.

Correct. All 4 need to match or be reeeaallyy close. Doesn't matter what size, but they just have to match. I think www.sytyarchives.com has a calculator.

Yeah it took a lot longer than we would have liked. Previous tenants couldn't get completely moved out so they kept a lot of their stuff in the basement/garage for about a month after we moved in. Which didn't give us any storage space. But now everything is good and we are settled in. I am still wanting to do a local syty meet sometime this summer but it will probably have to wait until after July 4th.

This weekend I may get some time to bolt up one side for a photo shoot. I probably won't be able to buy a new set of tires until after my wedding in September. :hang:

I bolted them on to see how they would fit without any modifications.

The front sticks out a little bit past the cladding.

The rears sit flush with the cladding and clear the leaf springs by about the width of a piece of paper but a small spacer would help with clearance.

The GS / Z06 wheels look awesome on your Ty. Fix the fronts and you have a breath-taking combo IMO. Very nice (am I am very picky with wheels) !!!!!!!!!!!

The only other thing to wow your audience would be to sport some Baer, Wilwood OR SBBC calipers behind them on slotted and drilled rotors.

Damn that is a seriously good looking truck.......from that angle the rears are really stunning and yea like T-Bone says the fronts may need a little adjustment (if possible without a lot of modification). Bet the picture from the rear showing how much ground those tires cover is great.

What size and offset are the front wheels? I bought some C6 Corvette wheels to put on my Ty. They are 18x8.5 front, and 19x10 rear.

Thanks for the compliments. According to this reproduction website The wheels are 18x9.5" + 40mm front and 19x12 + 59mm rear.
If the fronts had an offset around +56 mm they should bolt up just like my zr1s but they dont.
Any ideas on how to tuck the front wheels in about half an inch without some serious modifications, if at all possible?
