C6 Rim Tire Size Question....

Alright I will be running a 295/30/19 in the back, and a 275/35/18 in the front. Is that too much difference between the front and the back to cause problems? Any help would be great! Thanks. Heres some more info:

295/30/19
Diameter: 26.0
Circumference: 81.6

275/35/18
Diameter: 25.6
Circumference: 80.4

Also would like to note that this is on a 4WD Blazer, not an AWD Ty, do I still need the same overall diameter, even in 2WD?

Well, in 2wd, the truck won't care at all.

If you've got a 4wd truck, it'll depend upon the road surface that you're operating on. Slippery surfaces (dirt, gravel, mud, snow, etc) may be reasonably forgiving. But any kind of hard pavement won't be. Which means you probably won't be able to run in 4hi with wet pavement (snow & slush covered roads) without the truck either running really funny (probably oversteer badly because the rear tires are trying to run faster than the fronts) or grenading the tcase. If the tire sizes were closer, I'd say you'd be ok, but.....

An AWD truck won't really appreciate the tire size difference at all. It will hurt something, probably the tcase (viscous coupling / clutches depending upon type of tcase used).

Not sure that it'd fit, but a 285/35/18 front tire would be alot closer size-wise to the rear tire you've got picked out.

So in 2wd mode I should be okay? I have a set of winter rims (stockers with all same rubber) for bad weather, winter, and dont plan on using the 4wd in the summer... I dont think a 285 will fit, since its an 8.5" wide rim, 275s will be hard enough, if they fit at all. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, as long as you're strictly in 2wd (no automatic 4wd or anything) the truck wouldn't care if you were running 275/40/18's on the front and the 66" tire Bigfoot runs on the back. Just doesn't matter. No different than running 2 different tire sizes on a Corvette or Camaro.

Handling-wise, smaller tires up front will make it more likely to understeer, but that's an entirely different discussion. Mechanically, it'll work fine.
