Can't wait for next year?

Neither can we.

No time like the present to start preparing.

After the success we had this year I think that we can count on having the biggest and best Nats evar in '05!

If you guys have ideas or suggestions post them here so that the planning committee can take it all in.

This event is for YOU! the owners, the shakers and movers who keep these tempermental beasts running.

If you have never been to a Nationals event then you have no idea what you are missing.
Don;'t even consider comparing it to the nursery that the BB can turn into sometimes.

I'd say most of the folks there this year didn't ask and didn't really care what eveyones user names were.

Start planning to attend now!!!

I gotta agree with Jason.

I wasn't going to go due to some (a lot) of the BS that happens on the board. I forgot how much fun the Nats can be. I never once told people who I was - part in fear of getting my ass beat :)

Maybe we'll just call is the Nats -F.A.S.T. then.

:)

j/k - we need to get the Florida boys up to hang out of the back of the trucks and start mayhem. The ride to the track was boring. I dropped back hoping to get someone to come play - I did a blast up to 100 or so - hoping someone would bite. Nothing.

Nats needs F.A.S.T - Adam and Ian - you will be there.

looks like we'll have to show up ON FIRE next year then :D

I'm personally going to make a big push this year. I took a break fror 04, and I really wanna go. I'm gonna get back involved in organizing, and were gonna push 05 to be the year of all years to go.

I dare say 150+ trucks, AND I WANT THAT TO BE CONSERVITIVE. Lets get rockin'

Lets get GM there again. Lets get everyone there again.

Whats the date boys? There isnt a question in my mind. its KC or its nothing.

If I can go, im taking my truck. And this is likely the only year I do so. And I want to encourage every one else... If your ever going to go to the nats, GO IN 05, and BRING YOUR F'ING TRUCKS

This year seemed pretty good, as compared to last year, despite the drop in attendance.....everything seemed run fairly smooth, and *close* to on time, but that is the way these things go.

I'll be there again next year, hopefully with a truck then though.

Keep up the good work, and more people will show. If you need any help with anything lemme know.

I'd have played but my gas gauge was flirting with below E like scary low. I didn't even get into boost. Was making plenty of room for the $$ of 112 I bought at the track. Next year Dave I'll have some gas with yer name on it... that is if you go... and bring Stacey we missed her. Although Dubb is a bitch he is not much of a replacement for Stacey.

If you guys have ideas or suggestions post them here so that the planning committee
can take it all in.

SyTy National Suggestions (beginning with a National Guest Speaker, promoting attendance): 8)

1. More Communication from Committee (Discussing Dialog, Alternatives, Suggestions, Improvements).
2. More "Funding/Support" for announcing/publishing event (in Magazines, Websites, Clubs).
3. More "Purchasing Products/Mechandise" for SyTy Treasury (T-shirts, Stationary, etc),perhaps via dues
4. Moving "Date" (once again) to 3-day Labor Day Weekend:
-avoids conflict of PowerTour, Silver Classic, Players Run, and other national events;
-allows "Vendors" travel time/holiday schedule attendanace
-allows "Piggybacking" of Nationals with local car cruise/shows-street racing at night
-allows "Construction/Assembly" of vehicles during spring/summer for Nationals
-"probably" avoids weather related problems (rainy/hot season).
5. Feature Modded Vehicles on the Nationals website (promoting event)
6. Award Cash prizes (for highly modified winners, promoting attendance/participation).
"Perhaps" sponsorship of vendors (to continue SyTy merchandise), or SyTy owner (in Street Nationals).
7. "Perhaps", challenge other vehicle clubs (e.g. Lightnings, SRTs, whatever) as promotion.
8. Pre-survey potential vendors, and highly modded SyTy vehicle owners (ahead of schedule)
for advertisement/attendance/participation/support.
9. "Re-develop" caravan concept (e.g. N/S/E/W coordinators uniting regional attendance).
10. Offer the following:
-SyTy Club Trophy (to club with highest attendanace)
-autocrossing, or oval laps event
-a portable dyno, lift, or Snap-on/Tool Van for attendees?
-SyTy National "Merchandise" (like a Newsletter, CD/DVD, Photo-Studio Photograher)
-recyle some awards/trophys each year (with names engraved as winners),
-continue to have show-n-shine, drag racing, vendor mechandise/lectures/sponsors,
"best license plate contest", and a ballot (in Registration Packet) for Peoples Award
-offer an intro-informal meeting (first day), where for 1 sec you have to stand
and say "Hi Im so-n-so....from Nowhere USA", so that more "connection of names
to faces", nametags, and/or central "posting/message" board.
-group assembly/crusing somewhere (like hooters if at all possible)
-and SY-TY Event Photo of all cars and/or owners/participants for things like calendar or website.
