cat or no cat

Can I run not cat and still be fine, with no probs. By the way its a 1992 ty didnt know if it made a difference.

If you have the stock turbo with stock wastegate, no. You will get massive boostspikes.

If you want to run no cat, you need an upgraded turbo with a better functioning wastegate or an external installed on your stock setup.

I ran no cat on a 3" ATR exhaust on stock turbo. The boost will spike, but levels off. My biggest problem was boost creep. With the MBC set on 17psi it would still creep like 19-20 at speeds over 100. Not that many problems out of it though.

the problem is the WG on the stock setup. If you do it, i'd suggest an external gate with the stocker tack welded or wired shut.
