Well I just got my ccw classics today. I've been on the hunt for an older set of ccw classic in the c5 zo6 offset bc it let's you fit either a 11.5 or 12 under the back of the truck with 335 on it. And u can fit a 10 up front with a 295. They were hard to track down as most of the newer offsets of the classics. I had order a new set in the old offset, then saw the 18 super stockers and fell in love with them. I was waiting in the group by when I was contacted by a friend and got a crazy deal on these. They need a little tlc spent 4 hrs just on one wheel sat night bring it back to life and all I can say is what a pain in the ass, but the payoff is worth it. Now I'm wondering if I should just powder coat the centers gloss black and leave the lips polished.

I know the wheel needs to come out about 10-15mm so it with get a spacer

Some of the pics from just a quick sand and polish. Needs to be wet sanded starting at 1500 and going up to 3000 if I keep them polished.

Re: Ccw Classics

I think they look better polished. I think if you were to paint or powdercoat them black you'd miss some of the detail that makes them such a nice looking wheel.

On a truck that wasn't black, I would say go ahead and coat them. But I personally have never been a big fan of black wheels on a black truck.

Re: Ccw Classics

Powder coat them black in the center. They will look even more bad ass and less maintence.

Or, buy the 18" super stockers and give me those CCW's.

Re: Ccw Classics

Those are a beautiful wheel. Although I still think our 18 would look even better ;)

Polished would look super clean and show off the detail of the wheel. But black centers would look mean as well. I know many of the BMW guys run those wheels and you can find lots of pics of them painted or polished on bimmerforums or search. Might help giving you a visual of the look. HTH

Re: Ccw Classics

Just talked to CCW and owner John (who is the man) said the wheels should get 335 in the back and the 10 inch front wheels will fit with the custom back spacing and i should run a 295 up front to keep all the tires all the way around at 26 in the back 25.98 in the front

Re: Ccw Classics

Those wheels are going to look great whatever color or finish they are.

Do you think the 10" wide 295's will have any problems in the front? Like hitting when turning lock to lock?

Not to many people run those size tires. They should look bad ass, so wide.

Can't wait to see them all on the truck and running.

Re: Ccw Classics

Right now the wheels is 12 with a 315 on it. I'm thinking with a 335 on it, it will be close I'm going to use some flat washer to get it perfect and take my measurements from them. Then possibly get a custom spacer. Where do most try to get it to? Rim lip to the edge of the flat part on the wheel arch cladding when looking straight down?

Re: Ccw Classics

I had cup series ccw's a while back but the offsets were so off there was no way I could use them on the syclone.. but they looked really nice with the black centers so I voted for the powder coating
