I am looking into buying a 50Trim and wanted some suggestions on a A/R

I am on a stock converter/trans. looking for quick response and daily drivability.

Thanks,

Re: Choosing the Correct A/R

If it is a T3 turbine housing around a .63 A/R w/a stock tight torque converter.
What size turbine wheel?

Yes its a T3 housing

I can order any applicable size turbine wheel.

I may put a Converter in it this fall.

Re: Choosing the Correct A/R

Install a stage five wheel or better a "Q" ,trim ,big shaft, turbine wheel & a .63 or so A/R turbine housing.
Should spool up fine w/a stock converter.
Now,you say you may change the converter,,,well that's will call for a different size turbine housing like closer to a .83 or there abouts, depends on how loose a converter you go???

Re: Choosing the Correct A/R

Thats still undecided I guess... I will go with the.83 just for future proofing.

I dont plan on racing the truck a lot just keeping it as a fun daily. And I am rebuilding the trans this fall/winter.

I have a 95 240sx that is recieving a LS1 for the "fun" car. And I have decided not to take the sy too far out of "stock" It does have a built bottom end and has vortechs as next years project...
